A delegation led by the Speaker of the Djibouti Parliament is visiting Ethiopia
Addis Ababa; December 10/2016 (ESA): A delegation led by Djibouti Parliament Speaker Dileta Mohamed is visiting Ethiopia.
When the delegation arrived at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport yesterday evening; The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Tagese Chafo and other leaders of the House welcomed him.
It is known that the delegation of the Djibouti parliament that came to Ethiopia included the chairman and vice chairman of the Ethio-Djibouti friendship group as well as members of parliament in addition to Speaker Dileta.
As Ethiopian Ambassador to Djibouti Berhanu Tsgaye told ESA; The visit of the top leaders of the Djibouti Parliament has a great contribution in strengthening the long-standing relationship between the two countries.
He also pointed out that it will play a role in moving the strong political, economic and people-to-people diplomatic relations between the countries to the next phase.
He pointed out that the countries are linked by language, culture and religion and have similar lifestyles.
Also that the relationship between the countries is based on a strong and firm foundation.
Ambassador Berhanu said that the delegation will visit development projects during their three-day stay in Ethiopia and there will be forums for exchange of experiences.
The delegation is currently holding bilateral talks with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tagese Thafo and other leaders of the House.
Speaker Dileta Mohammed is expected to attend the House of Representatives and give a speech.
It is known that the speaker of the Djibouti Parliament, Dileta Mohammed, previously served as Djibouti’s ambassador to Ethiopia.
